Hurricane Shoals ParK Maternity:: {metro atlanta & north ga photographer}
If any of you know me or even th eones who follow my work a good bit know that I rarely shoot anything but Weddings and Seniors, but every year I take on some different sessions… a few families, kids and maternity sessions or anything else that I may can fit into the crazy schedule…. Well meet Hollye… we go way back… me and her older sister graduated together and her mom taught me in my elementary school days…. so when Hollye contacted me to do her maternity shots, I will admit the I hesitated a little, because this is typically out of my “box” but I’m glad she was so persistent because we had a great shoot and the images turned out well…. =). Check these out, we shot them at the infamous Jackson County park Hurricane Shoals Park. ::

Brady Turns 2… :: {north ga photographer}
Mr Brady… I’ve shot this guy since about 6 months old and now he’s turning 2!… Seems like a familiar post (dejavu from earlier this week). We shot these at Hurricane Shoals Park and he was the perfect little model as usual. Check out some these great shots… and oh yeah he’s got a baby brother on the way… Congrats!! ::

Little Macy whom I have shot since week 2… is now two years old… wow! Not much to say she is always a cutie and always rocks the camera… Check these out and… Tic-Tacs was the key to this session =) ::

Greene Shooting Greene :: { athens ga photographer }
About a year or so I entered a photography package into our local high school booster club charity event… it was auctioned off for a good cause and well this family won the bid… well we have been in contact back and fourth ever since her youngest son was born about a year ago… We finally got to plan a date and shot the session this afternoon and I was looking forward to it. Her boys are so sweet and like any other 1 and 4 year old, mom and dad had bribed them with some ice cream afterwards… yummy! Anyway, dad’s face may seem just a little familiar to a few of you Dawg fans out there… he’s probably one of the greatest QB’s that the NCAA has ever seen and I was a bit star-struck at first, but what a down to earth guy… enjoyed the evening shooting him and his family… Maybe, just maybe IÂ become his go to receiver… i mean photographer =). Big Sister, Little Sister :: {north ga photographer}
Ahhhhh it feels great to be shooting again, I had my first shoot this past Monday since my amazing senior session a few weeks back… this session pretty much marked an end to my well planned, well deserved break… now it’s time to hit the gas wide open an knock out these weddings and other sessions booked in the coming weeks and months. This session was nice because I got to take some shots of 1 year old Gracie and just about a year or so ago I shot her bigger sister at the same age…. well both were present at this session and we got some great shots… here is a quick sneak peek… check them out ::
5 Days… 5 Months… :: { scott greene photography }
Remember little Ford from a few months ago…? (5 days old). Well mister Ford is now 5 month old! I love seeing the changes between the first few days of life to the first few months…. such a big change. Well yesterday was Ford’s number 2 session of what was my First Year package. We got some great shots and we went backdrop free as well just shooting around on the furniture and different parts of the house… I actually like that a little better and it looks like Ford did as well… check out a few of these ::
Kale Corbett – A True Player
” Hi, I am Kale Corbett. My parents are Tim and Brandy Corbett and I have a sister, Katy Rose. I am in the 4th grade at Jefferson Academy. I love to play football, basketball, and run track. One day, I began to feel so tired that I couldn’t even play during my football game. That isn’t like me so my mom and dad took me to the doctor. After lots of tests, they said I had leukemia. It is a rare type of ALL.” -Kale
Meet Kale Corbett… that is Kale’s story. I just recently met Kale this past Monday, I have always known his mom, his uncle and just most recently shot his aunt’s engagement session…. a great and very close nit family! A very competitive gene pool there and Kale has seemed to gained it honestly as he jumped right out of the car with a football in hand throwing hailmary passes to his sister Katy and diving on the ground to catch passes (momma wasn’t crazy about him getting dirty, but it was a good catch!). Kale has been diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia… and has since under went a few chemo treatments, but I tell you what you would have never known it do to this guys spunk and good attitude! The GREAT news is they have a bone marrow donor and they were officially cleared for transplant! I have been keeping up with Kale here at his webpage. You can tell God is truly working in and around this little guys life and family. If you care to help Kale out in anyway you can start by stopping by his donations page. Kale we’ll photograph you again in a few months and you can show me how to throw one of those hailmary passes!

Parker is One :: { athens ga photographer }
Mr. Parker turned one! We have completed his Crib, Crawl and Walk series… and walk is actually an understatement, this kid can fly! For a 13 month old Parker was FAST! In between Parker’s shots and his Olympic sprints we worked his cute big sister into th esession Ms. Anna Kate. She was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to the camera and started super modeling it towards the end of the shoot. Here are a few sneak peeks from this past Thursday’s session ::
Ford is 5… Days Old! :: { jefferson ga photographer }
Those that know me and know my work best has probably saw a slight shift in my photography focus… While I enjoy shooting all kinds of sessions I have shifted a lot of my focus to mainly weddings and seniors. I still love shooting the kids and will continue, but the newborns have always been a slight challenge for me… and also if you know me I am always up for a good challenge. Scott and Candice, new parents as of just 5 days ago, and friends of mine… told me some 8 months ago that I would be shooting their new arrival… and while shooting a limited number of newborn sessions each year… when they told me I gladly accepted (Scott is an ex-Marine… so I wasn’t going to tell him no =). Well the day had came and so had little Ford. Such a cute lil boy and so well behaved at just 5 days he was a pleasure to shoot… heck I would even shoot a newbie like him again =). I will be documenting Ford’s first year of life this year as they got my babies first year package… so stay tuned to watch this guy grow… until the next 3 month session here are a few from this one… welcome to the world Ford ::
Lil Fields :: {athens ga children photographer}
Blog post number 3 for me tonight, but I just had to finish this session because it was soo sweet. This is pretty cool because Cassie has been cutting my hair for several years now and over those years I have heard stories of her engagement, of her wedding, of her pregnancy and now I finally got the chance to take pictures of lil Meadow her one year old daughter! I tell you what though… if she works the camera when she gets older like she did today… moma and daddy might have a lil super model on their hands =) Here are a few sneak peeks from today’s session:
The Jinks Family :: {athens ga photographer}
I choose to shoot a very limited number of family sessions each year… well this past Sunday was one of the few that I will shoot this year. A great family… the Jinks. I go to church with two of them and they ended up buying a gift certificate from me before Christmas to give to the mom for family pictures. We shot at a favorite hot spot in downtown Athens… the session went well even though it was 90+ degrees outside… Here are just a few from the session:

Triplets at Hurricane Shoals {Children Photographer}
Session two of the Crib, Crawl and Walk package with these three little triplets…. If you ever thought shooting a six month old was tough, try 3! These guys did well though…. the adults out numbered the kids by one. Mom and dad brought help in the form of grandparents. We decided on Hurricane Shoals Park for this session…. it was close by and we were all familiar with it but boy was it HOT! Anyway here is a sneak peek from the session:
Macy T: Year One Done {kids photographer}
Ms. Macy’s Year One package is a wrap. We took her final session pictures of the package this past Sunday and like the other 3 sessions she did not disappoint. Macy has always been a well tempered baby or at least every time that I have had the opportunity to shoot her…. I will admit she was a bit more challenging this go around as she was walking, talking, laughing and clapping but I managed to grab her attention for some great shots…. here are a few from the session:
All Aboard { Jefferson, GA Photographer }
Man…Â this guy is growing fast! I remember shooting little Blake when he was just 3 months old… we have had a session together every year now and now they little guy is 4. Wow… time flies. We have shot about at most of my hot spots for kids, but his mom said he was into trains…. well luckily Jefferson has no shortage of train tracks and or train cars… here are a few from the session:
Out fo the Box in Commerce, GA
So yeah… I choose to shoot just a limited number of family sessions each year, by this I mean that I am very selective. Reason being families are good to shoot but rarely do any of them “really” want to push the boundaries and step outside of the box. Well meet the Rubio’s! Nichole contacted me sometime ago and booked me several months back… in some of the email correspondence that we had, we were trying to figure out a place to shoot…. she wanted “different”…. and I said HOW DIFFERENT? She said junkyard different and IÂ said OKAY! I have shot at these places a good bit but never in a family setting and the Rubio’s were down for going against the normal family grain of photography. No pretty green grass… no wonderful old bridges… no kids running around with balloons… just straight up raw urban grunge look. I myself thought it would be a good contrast with such a great looking family. Thanks Nichole for suggesting such a cool shoot! Here are a few of the shots that we got from the session… enjoy!
