Jill & Dan

My very first trip up to Marietta Square was an engagement shoot with a great couple, Jill Leeder and Dan Burk. A very fun and relaxed couple… like all shoots it started out a little slow and as we got more comfortable with each other… well I must say it turned out to be one of my best engagement shoots yet. The area was filled with different types of settings and such, I would recommend having pictures shot there and I hope that someday I may get the chance to shoot there again. Jill as you can see from the pictures is very photogentic and I can not wait till her wedding. Dan “thought” that he wasn’t photogentic but we brought out the “GQ” in him. That’s the beauty with my style of photography… just a little guidance here and there and for the most part I capture the interaction of my subjects with each other and their surroundings.

  1. Dear Scott,
Dan Burk’s aunt here….Just wanted to say that I love your work…very interested and artistic. I hate the usual “posed ” stuff. Yours capture the personalities of your subjects. The baby shot with the hands cradling the head is especially awesome. I also love the artistic shots like the ones of the lace transparent wedding dress with the water in the background and the awesome graduated shot of the starfish decorated chairs. Those are the things I like to create. I relate to your explanations of your prices. I am no professional, just love to play with pictures on a VERY basic level…lighting, cropping, zooming in on little often missed details etc. If I have shot 30 pictures, it sometimes ends up being 40 or 50 after I have made copies and cropped and zoomed in on special captures. I know the HOURS these creations take, but what fun it is, also. I have never taken a photography class and haven’t even used photoshop or any decent program yet, but look forward to learning so much more. It’s been a joy and inspiration to see your work. I look forward to meeting you at the wedding. May God continue to bless the work he has given you to do. It is wonderful to find that special gift He has given and to be able to soar with it!
